The "Help Relief Efforts in Haiti, Get Seasonality Free" campaign has now ended. The fundraiser generated $3878 of donations, and I will throw in the extra to make it an even $4000 to send over to Partners In Health. Thanks to everyone who participated... It's really cool to have a new group of generous Seasonality users!

The response from the "Help Relief Efforts in Haiti, Get Seasonality Free" has been incredible. Since yesterday, Gaucho Software has raised almost $1500 in donations to help Partners In Health and the orders are still coming in. Thank you to everyone who has most generously donated to help the people of Haiti. It's great to be part of such an awesome community of users.

Other Mac/iPhone Indie Developers have run with the idea and have graciously started offering their own sales as donations. Justin Williams is organizing a group of 30+ developers (so far) to donate one day of sales to help relief efforts in Haiti. The date is next Wednesday, January 20th, so mark it on your calendars as a day to purchase Mac software. OmniGroup employees have collected $45k in donations, which is commendable.

Because some have asked about it, I want to be extra clear about the order processing fee. As a developer, I sell software through eSellerate. They take out about $3 per order to process a credit card transaction and generate a serial number to send to you. This saves me a lot of hassle from creating my own web store and leaves managing a completely secure web store to professionals in that area. Unfortunately it's a cost that I can't get around... In the end, I am giving 100% of the money I see from the software sales directly to Partners In Health.

Gaucho Software is joining the rescue efforts to help restore Haiti after the devastating earthquake centered just outside Port-au-Prince. To encourage more people to donate to the relief efforts, Gaucho Software will be donating all proceeds from Seasonality sales (minus a $3 fee we pay to process an order) through the end of this month to the Partners In Health organization. Gaucho Software is celebrating with MyWeather the release of MyWeather Mobile 1.0. Gaucho Software brought the code, MyWeather brought the interface and data. The result is a pretty sweet weather application for your iPhone. Check it out at the product page, or jump right to the App Store to purchase it.

Last year I was contacted about helping out with a few aspects of developing a stock application. The initial concept and application framework was already there, but there were a few tasks that still had yet to be completed, such as downloading current stock prices and handling software licensing. Off and on during the past several months, I spent some time working on different parts of the application and I'm happy to report that the first version of Trade Manager Pro is now available. Furthermore the companion e-book, Trading Your Way: Develop Your Personal Trading Plan, has been published as well. Congratulations to the folks at DSG Tradewise!

The sixth installment of Seasonality is hot off the press! Check out this latest update with support for Leopard, a revamped location database with over 10,000 updates, and several other new features and bug fixes.

I would like to send my congratulations to DynDNS for the release of version 2.0 of their DynDNS Updater for the Mac. Their dedication to the Mac platform is applauded by many. I helped in developing this version of the client, and was thrilled to work with a group of such highly skilled individuals on the project.

I'm happy to report that after being in the works for almost 5 months, a couple of days ago I moved one of the main Gaucho Software servers to a colocation datacenter. This server hosts the international forecasts for Seasonality and will act as a backup download server as well. The move should speed things up dramatically, as well as significantly improving the reliability of online services provided by Gaucho Software.

A lot of you have been waiting for this, and it's finally here. The final version of Seasonality 1.4 has been released! Seasonality 1.4 includes several new features like custom location support, weather journal improvements, moon information, support for mouse/trackpad scrolling, and several speed and stability improvements. This is a major update that has been long in the making. Check it out on the Seasonality project page.

Seasonality is now a Universal Binary. New features include a weather journal, a new radar image overlay for the U.S., and a brand new graph interface. In additional to these and other features, Sesonality 1.3 also fixes quite a few bugs and has several performance optimizations. This is a major update so check it out!

Thanks to Andre Beckedorf, a Universal Binary of XRG is now available (XRG 1.1u). This release is identical to XRG 1.1 and may have bugs, so treat it as beta software. If you have an Intel Mac, head over to the download page and check it out.

The Gaucho Software Forums are back online again. They have been offline for the past couple of days because of server issues. Now the forums are hosted on a new server and the forum software has been upgraded to the latest version. Check out the new interface, and feel free to post feedback.

Seasonality 1.2 was released this morning. This version adds some cool new features and fixes several bugs. I'm happy to announce that a French translation has been added, and I hope to support other languages in the future. Check it out at the Seasonality Project Page.
